Making Healthy Food More Accessible
Feeney Farm is a 501(c)(3) organization that works to make healthy food more accessible to low-income communities throughout Connecticut.
We do this by financially supporting local non-profits that are on the "ground level" of this issue and by working with passionate groups and individuals interested in creating innovative approaches to provide greater access to fresh foods in food deserts throughout Connecticut.
Our vision at Feeney Farm is to help low-income populations gain access to healthier food while encouraging individuals across the country to develop ways to make healthy food more accessible to those in need within their own communities.
If you are a Connecticut non-profit organization interested in partnering with us to bring nutrient-dense food to those in need, please contact us at info@feeneyfarm.org.
About Feeney Farm
Feeney Farm has a diverse history. What started in 2010 as a project to grow organic food for those in need, transitioned to a 501(c)(3) gleaning and food rescue operation in early 2011, and is now an organization that supports Fairfield County non-profits and individuals that are committed to bringing healthy food to those in need.
Our goal is two-fold: help low-income communities consume higher-quality foods by providing support to organizations directly addressing this issue, and encourage educated action surrounding the issues of hunger and malnutrition.
We've been featured in the New York Times, the Connecticut Post and other well-known local publications. We are driven by our ability to be a valuable member of society.
